Starting this Friday, the Adler Planetarium is featuring a
brand-new space show called “Journey to the Stars.” This new show takes
visitors through time and space to experience the life and death of stars. It
also helps people discover the history of the universe as they view familiar
space formations.
Billed as an “immersive theater experience,” the show lets audiences witness
supernovas that birthed the first stars and visit the heart of our own sun. It’s
narrated by Whoopi Goldberg and will be shown daily. On weekdays “Journey to
the Stars” can be seen at 11:30 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3:15 p.m. On Saturdays and
Sundays, go see it at 11:45 a.m., 1:15 p.m., 2:45 p.m. and 4:20 p.m. If you
purchase the Adler’s Galaxy package, you’ll get tickets to the show, general
admission and an audio tour for $19 per adult and $15 for children.
The Adler Planetarium is located at 1300 S. Lake Shore Dr.
right on the Museum Campus. For additional information, visit
